The feeling when the GM asks 'are you sure?'

I am offering to run this is the afternoon slot for anyone interested. This uses the HeroQuest system, a very simple 1d20 resolution mechanic. Note this is NOT the board game.

Glorantha is a bronze/very early iron age fantasy world. Magic is prevalent as are the gods. You will be starting as a Heortling living in Dragon Pass. Be a herder, a farmer or even a warrior in training, whatever the case you are just starting out on your adult-initiation rites to say goodbye to childhood and discover your runes. These serve as a source of magic and a connection to the pantheon, how your character acts determines what their soul awakens.

Just realised that whenever you've said hero quest I've been thinking of a completely different game... I know not what this system is and would happily give it a try.

This is why I always say "HeroQuest - the RPG by Robin Laws and not the Games Workshop board-game" whenever Darren's around as otherwise he gets his hopes up someone else likes the GW game.

Actually it's not just Darren, there's a large chunk of people, even those into indie games that don't seem to have heard of the game, which is pretty bizarre as it was one of the first mass produced narrative RPGs.

It's really good and there's no limit for players so even if there's only a few people who want to try it, it will still work perfectly well. You get to do badass magic and go one heroquests to emulate the gods and stuff. It's pretty cool.
